The Gulf Coast Silkies Ruck, sponsored by Alabama Veteran, will take place on May 23, 2026, in Orange Beach, Alabama. Participants will step off at 7:30 a.m. from The Wharf parking lot. We will head toward the Gulf Coast to the iconic Flora-Bama. This event brings together veterans, supporters, and the local community for a morning of camaraderie, resilience, and shared purpose. Whether you are a seasoned rucker or joining for the experience, the Gulf Coast Silkies Ruck offers an opportunity to honor service, build community, and enjoy one of the most scenic routes along the Alabama coast.
- Step off will be in the parking lot of the Wharf near the Theater
- Rucking east down Canal Road with first stop at J and M Tackle
- Then turning south on Hwy 161 by Circle K stopping at Orange Beach City Hall
- We will then turn east on Perdido Beach Blvd stopping at The Gulf Restaurant
- We will continue east over the Pass and break under the Pass
- After a break under the Pass we will ruck out on the beach for the final leg finishing at Flora Bama
