We create spaces where veterans can connect with those who genuinely understand, where their experiences are honored, and where their future is bright with possibility. Through our network of peer support, resource connections, and meaningful volunteer opportunities, we help you channel the same strength and dedication that served our country into building your new life. Our Services
Warrior Retreat
The Alabama Veteran Warrior Retreat is designed to help veterans struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other combat-related issues. It’s a four-day deep dive that guides vets to go search into themselves, helps them understand their issues and gives them guidance and skills that lead to successful outcomes. More than 6,000 veterans died by their own hand in 2022. Warrior Retreat exists to reduce that number.
AV Active
Too many vets lose themselves searching for a purpose in their lives after service. AV Active is an app in development that will be a digital hub for communication, encouragement and productive activities that will keep vets occupied in a positive manner. A sponsor can track and communicate with the vet to make sure they get the attention they need to guide them through their transition to civilian life. AV Active is currently in the development stages. Reach out to see how you can get involved in launching this initiative.
Dovetail Landing
Dovetail Landing is a “reverse boot camp” short-term residential program designed to provide resources at a single location, reducing Veteran worry about where they will live or eat, allowing them to focus on the care they need when returning home. Dovetail works with Veterans Affairs and an established network of providers to help our veterans get access to the services they have earned and to help establish the resources afforded to Veterans in Alabama. The Landing is located on 57 acres of land, which includes a barn, house, and a pool, all generously donated by the City of Lincoln. Dovetail Landing is still in the development stages. War On the Greens
Take part in this epic fundraiser that includes our veterans and our faithful supporters. Enjoy a day of spirited battle on the greens, camaraderie, and unique prizes throughout the day – all in support of our mission to serve those who have served us – our veterans in need.
Salute to Service
During the “Salute to Service” our veterans and biggest fans enjoy a special evening that celebrates those who have served while raising funds necessary to continue to support the services we provide our veterans.
